Frenchie is a long-standing chef restaurant that is very hard to reserve a table in. It took me over a year to get one, and it was absolutely well worth it.
Quite a few years ago, chef Greg Marchand worked as a cook in one of Jamie Oliver’s restaurants in London. Everyone loved him and Jamie and the team affectionately called him Frenchie. When Greg came back home to mother France, he adopted the name and made it his restaurant’s name. Frenchie in Paris quickly became a leader of the bistronomic trend that washed over the city in the last decade. Young chefs, who bravely stepped out of the classic French menu, manage an inventive kitchen at affordable prices, offering modern and creative menus, as opposed to Michelin starred restaurants, where eating is definitely an experience, but usually, at a very high cost.
Frenchie is a small local legend, seating only 20 people at two servings each night, as is customary in some bistronomic restaurants. Here too you will find a tasting menu, a highly creative menu which is sure to excite and surprise you in most of the dishes it boasts. A professional and steady hand oversees the preparation and plating stages of the delicious and often exciting dishes. Simply great food! All the dishes we tasted were fantastic, made from quality fresh raw materials, and the service was exceptional. At the end of this night I can totally understand why the French are willing to work so hard for a table here.
